10/10 Exceptional

Breakfast was superb, wide choice, attentive staff, hot food perfectly cooked. City centre location was excellent for getting about. Reception and cleaning staff very friendly and helpful. Room bright and comfortable. Only complaint would be the noise (presumably from other guests), and an alarm that went off in the middle of the night.

4/10 Fair

I usually book a similar priced hotel with pool in Nottingham but decided on a change and thought the Hilton would be good The pool and the gym facilities were good a decent size pool the hotel was nice and central But the rooms were so small fortunately this was a solo trip as there was no way myself and my husband would have fitted in the bed - the bed was creaky every time you sat in it - you could touch the bathroom from the bed / no fridge or any touch of luxury I was charge a £30 deposit with no explanation It’s just not worth the price when I can stay in a similar hotel with pool and have a decent size room and bed I would have had more space at the Travelodge

The window sills in the room were filthy but when I told reception on check out, they gave us free breakfast. Staff were helpful

Perfectly situated to get around the centre. Double bed is small but comfortable. The gym and spa area are what makes this hotel stand out. Reception were friendly and efficient.

8/10 Very good

Generally an OK stay. But for the price would expect more. Room was clean and spacious, however sound proofing is needed. It was like staying in someone’s home, you could hear everyone outside and above the room. The pool/steam/sauna and changing rooms felt unclean and cold. definitely needs updating. Staff were kind and helpful.

6/10 Good

There are a lot of stairs at this hotel, once on the correct floor there were more stairs to the room - very awkward for disability or pushchairs. Rooms are very squashed with basic amenities, bathroom was good although the door really made a noise when closed. The room smelt as though someone had been smoking in there. Staff at breakfast were extremely helpful.

Hotel very clean. Really good amenities. Room spotless. Bar staff lovely. Breakfast fab. One little gripe was we down to the pool and it was full of children having a swimming lesson. Perhaps times of these could be advertised to hotel residents in advance.
