This is the best hotel at this price point that I have stayed in for some time. The staff were absolutely great, the breakfast was really good, and I had a lovely, well designed bedroom. The top floor lounge and free water/coffee were great benefits too. The location really worked for me too. The only slightly odd thing was that I had two single duvets on my double bed (I had booked a single room) but I think that might be normal practice in Norway.

Every bit of high praise is true. The breakfast was unparalleled in my LIFE! Housekeeping was efficient friendly and thorough!. Over the week we were there, we really got friendly with certain staff and felt super loved on the day we left. 10/10 Exceptional

The Thon Hotel is a little outdated, but the service of staff, hotel location, and breakfast were exceptional. I have gluten allergies and the hotel restaurant had fantastic accommodations with labels that made my travel stress free. Room service came every day to switch out towels and tidy our room while we ventured in the city. Plenty of restaurants and local bars within walking distance. We will definitely come back here when we visit Oslo again.
