Historical Happy Hotel

We absolutely had a wonderful time at this hotel. We stayed there at the start of our trip. We liked it so much, we came back and stayed at the end of our trip. Great location. Walking distance from everything. Super cute historical hotel.

Will come stay here again!!!

The customer service here is impeccable! The staff went out of their way to treat the family and dog like their own family. The breakfast was nice had a variety of choices. The pool was so refreshing especially since it was so hot when we went. The only thing that could use some help was the room appearance. They are doing a good job preserving the orinal look but the bathtub tile was chipping and the toilet flushed very loud

Excellent Hotel Stay for a Couple

Highly recommend staying here with its central location in the downtown and nearby hiking and adventure sites. The room is fine for a couple, but somewhat long and narrow. The AC cooled the room well and was not in the bedroom which kept the noise down. Bed was comfortable. Strangely the front desk staff had a pattern of being distant or grumpy, but not that important an issue. Overall, this was a perfect place to stay after a late night concert at Ironstone in Murphys.

Great location. Had a nice room overlooking the main street. Will stay here again.

Beautiful Downtown Sonora

My stay was wonderful. Keep in mind this is an older historic hotel so you will not have all the modern conveniences, but the staff is wonderful, the bathtub is deep and the area breathtaking.

We will stay here again and again to visit this beautiful area.

2/10 Poor

Feels like a dungeon

Wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone. Some rooms have no windows. We checked out for a day (though room was paid) and went camping because room was terrible.
Vengatesh, 3-night trip

Love the gold rush feel of the hotel. Matches the town. The rooms are lovely with a quirk that makes the stay worth while. Bathroom was great (the door wouldn't close unless the toilet seat was up!!! - love old hotels) and shower was hot when I needed it. Didn't sample the breakfast but heard it was good. Easy check in/check out and staff was awesome.

6/10 Good

The property is close to many good places to eat and shop. The staff was nice and helpful. The property was in nice condition too. The only two issues we had were noise and lack of hot water for showers. The noise was due to our room running alongside the road across from a bar. Otherwise it was a nice place.

6/10 Good

The historic hotel used to be considered a fancy place to stay. But not so anymore. Although it was clean, it is in need of paint and repairs and new furniture and carpet . It just felt real run down. It's not the "go to" place I remember .

Meh Breakfast, Small Rooms, But Good Location

The breakfast offerings were very sparse, more continental than anything hot. Dining room trash bin became overflowing and nobody bothered to clean. Rooms were very small, remember that this is an historic hotel. Location is great, right on Washington Street. For the price, you get what you pay for, but wouldn't hurt to pay more attention to breakfast operation.
