dissatisfied with the recent stay at Super 8. Unfortunately, my experience since checking in was far below expectations and has left me feeling both disappointed and distressed.
Upon arrival, I approached the front desk with several concerns:
1. Air Conditioning Not Working: The air conditioning in my room was not functioning properly. I was advised to “turn it on and off” with no further assistance. We asked if someone could inspect the unit, but received no follow-up. In the extreme summer heat, this made the room unbearably warm. When we requested a fan, we were given one that was dirty, though we had no choice but to use it. Moving to another hotel was not an option as it was already late at night.
2. Linen & Towel Shortage: I requested face cloths and towels but was informed they were “in demand” and unavailable, as they were still being washed. The staff member even read from a list of rooms waiting for the same items, which did not help the situation.
Because of the excessive heat and lack of resolution, my dog and I ended up sleeping in my car, alternating between opening the windows and running the car’s air conditioning for brief periods just to stay comfortable. As a result, I woke up with swollen legs and feet.
The next morning, I spoke with the Manager, who was apologetic and offered a $135 credit as a gesture of goodwill. While I appreciate the apology, the overall experience left me and my friends feeling traumatized and completely ruined our vacation.
