Room with a beautiful garden view and balcony. It was challenging to get hot water in the morning in spite of confirmation of hot water service during the hotel reservations. However Anna in cafeteria finally helped me to get hot water.

Fantastic stay at this property,helpful and informative check in lovely room on the highest floor at the back. Room quality excellent, restful nights sleep which is of the highest importance to us. A fridge and tea and coffee making facilities would elevate this room to eleven out of ten. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Pedro our host was excellent in explaining things for in and around his property. Very friendly and caring. The accommodation was as expected and clean. We would recommend this place for travellers. It was nice not to be right in the City, but easy to get there by bus or tram which stops right outside Famous Crows. And Belem Pastires is right outside, these area must to try while staying in Balem. They are delicious!!

Asked for early check in weeks before, got no response. On the day if arrival, I coukd not access the property as no one communucated that I needed a pass code to enter the building and there was no reception. After an 8 hour flight, I had to be dragging my luggage across the road to sit in the park, trying to get someone to respond to my messages. After getting the pass code and entering the room, I was told I had to leave as check in was at 3pm

Perfectly acceptable but not 5*’s

We arrived much earlier than check in and just wanted to drop our cases off and explore. The entrance is a door with a buzzer system and there was no one in. Therefore we had to wait some time to get into the building and only when the cleaner, who didn’t speak English opened the door. We did manage to get our cases in but waited an hour or so to do so. When we did check in it took a long time, the host was great, a little eccentric and full of life, we just wanted to get checked in and relax but he wanted to show us everything and anything he could - nothing bad, probably the longest check in ever!! The room was relatively clean (the pillows could have been cleaner) and we were told about not washing our faces with make up on the towels - however these were very bare and really should be in the bin……the location is great, nice and central and the bakery down the road is amazing. The soundproofing also wasn’t great - we could hear what was going on in the room next door. For what we paid it was good value but was short on a few things.

Subject: Utter Disappointment and Deceptive Pricing Practices I am extremely disappointed by the lack of hygiene in a room that costs nearly €300 per night. Finding hair on the bed and floor was unacceptable, suggesting that basic cleanliness was completely overlooked. For this price, I expected a minimum standard of hygiene, yet there were marks resembling stool stains on the bathroom wall, and the towels provided were so worn out they had holes and an unpleasant odor. This level of upkeep is absolutely unworthy of the rate charged. Furthermore, I am appalled by the misleading pricing information. Despite Expedia's assurance that all local taxes were included in the rate, I was surprised with additional taxes upon arrival. The confusion and lack of transparency between your information and that on Expedia feels like a calculated attempt to trap tourists, which is beyond disappointing. Hiding essential information and ignoring basic cleanliness to maximize profits is unacceptable. I genuinely do not know whether to laugh or cry at the standards on display here, but I can say this: it is a sad reflection of how some businesses operate, prioritizing profit over honesty and customer well-being. Excelente suite e localização

A estadia foi perfeita. Quarto amplo com tudo que precisavamos, cama enorme, muito limpo e sacada com vista para a cidade. Tivemos uma excelente recepção pelo Pedro que nos explicou os detalhes da região. Fica proximo de pontos turisticos e da estacao de comboio (trem).

O hotel é bem localizado e proximo a supermercado, lanchonetes e restaurantes! Não oferece café da manhã, mas como falei está próximo a tudo. Local seguro e o quarto muito amplo. Apenas o banheiro que achei o espaço do chuveiro muito pequeno, mas no mais eu me hospedaria nele novamente

We reserved a family studio. The room was very spacious and had a working air conditioning! We went in April and the two other hotels we went to before this one thought it was too early to allow AC.. so we had to open the windows and endure the noise in the street during the night. So, we were really happy when we saw that the AC was working at this hotel. It is located in the heart of Belém, which was really nice. They change the towels every 3 days and bedsheets once per week, but it was okay with us since we already change our bedsheets once per week at home and we care about the environment. Otherwise, the room is clean ! The only major downside is that they don't have an elevator so you have to climb a set of steep stairs with your suitcase (we had two 25kg suitcases, so it was a nightmare). They could at least put a ramp to roll our suitcases on. Also, we arrived at 12pm at the hotel and the door was locked. We then learned there is no reception before 3pm and after 8pm. However, once you check in they give you a PIN Code and you can access the building at anytime. The owner, Pedro, is the one at the reception. He is very nice and speak many languages! He was a bit intense/too much and talked a lot at first (our feet were in pain so we couldn't wait to reach our room) but was more discreet and respectful of our privacy in the next days. You'll have to take the bus/metro if you want to go downtown Lisbon and it is generally crowded. I would still go again !
