I liked that there were many stores and food locations conveniently located near the hotel. However, the hallways to the rooms — including the rugs, walls, and doors — would benefit from a more modern design to create a better overall appearance. I believe that with these updates, the hotel would attract many more reservations.

Bed was comfortable. Hotel was clean and desk attendant was very pleasant. Breakfast was good with waffles, toast and muffins, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, juice, cereal, and yogurt. There were lots of restaurant choices within walking distance. Would stay here again.

You can tell the owners care about the property. It's an old facility, but taken care of. Aside from the sticky floor, our room was clean & comfortable. The pool was perfect for my 7 year old & never anyone else in it. We didn't get down for breakfast before 9am most days, but there seemed to be a nice variety. Lots of shopping & dining supper close by. Try Granite City for a meal - yum! Definitely would stay here again, for the money savings vs other options.

While the building could use some updating & the work in progress, it's clear that the staff are doing their best with what they have. Our room was clean and provided everything we needed. The overnight staff member was especially outstanding—friendly, hard-working, and always helpful throughout our stay. The complimentary breakfast was a convenient option to start the day, and though it was simple, it’s nice that it’s included. Coffee and warm items like eggs, sausage, and biscuits were available every morning. The effort to provide hot breakfast is appreciated. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, which made a big difference. With some renovations and a few updates this place could really shine. Overall, it’s a decent place for travelers on a budget, and the hospitality of the team truly stands out.

Remodel rooms

The employees are friendly and helpful. The hotel is musty and is under construction. We had one room remodeled and was a good change. The other was old section and was musty, run down.
