Learn more about Vernazza
Colorful fishing boats bob in the harbor of this impossibly picturesque village, where pastel houses seem to defy gravity on steep cliffs. The medieval castle offers sweeping views of the azure Mediterranean below. Hiking the Sentiero Azzurro trail reveals why Cinque Terre has captivated travelers for generations. After exploring narrow cobblestone lanes, join locals at waterfront restaurants serving the day's catch with glasses of local vernaccia wine. The tiny beach becomes a social hub in summer, while Vernazza's natural harbor - the only one among the five towns - shelters from coastal winds. Arrive early or late afternoon to avoid day-trippers and experience the authentic rhythm of village life that has earned this gem its place among Italy's most beautiful villages.

Vernazza Sea View
"The view from our room was stunning, the host was very nice, and the instructions to the reception area was clear to us. Would definitely come back and stat there next time."
Pensione Sorriso
"This place is seriously a hidden GEM. To start, the staff is incredibly kind, helpful, and they TRULY go above and beyond for their guests. This place is STEPS away from the train…online it says 10 minute walk, it took us maybe a minute which was amazing since we were lugging a massive suitcase. The room was clean, we had a fantastic view with AC since we went during peak heat. The breakfast spread was seriously incredible, TONS of options, the pictures on the site don’t do this place justice. They offer dinner as well but we didn’t try it. I also must highly recommend stopping at II Pirata delle chique terre which is about a 45 second walk from here to visit Massimo. Seriously the best cannolis I’ve had in my life. Everything is homemade and fresh."
Locanda Valeria
"Truly exceeded our expectations. The staff were wonderful, always friendly and ready to help with anything I needed. The views from my room were unbelievable, offering breathtaking scenery that made my stay even more memorable. And we enjoyed a great breakfast with plenty of delicious options to choose from. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay."
Grand Hotel Villa Balbi
"Great hotel with great staff. Too many mosquitoes around the pool and the restaurant, which is a common problem in that area based on our observation."
Hotel Firenze E Continentale
"Everything was good, but shower is too tight."
Park Hotel Argento
"We spent two nights here during our stay in the CT. The staff was wonderful : very accommodating, friendly and hospitable! The restaurant located in the hotel is exceptional! Every meal we had there was beautifully plated, tasted amazing and very authentic. We even saw the chef rolling out the gnocchi in the afternoon for dinner service. The rooms are a little dated and need some updating, but the pool is beautiful and location is convenient to the train station. Definitely call for the shuttle, because climbing that hill in July was BRUTAL! That was our fault for trying it though! Overall, we had a wonderful stay here and the restaurant is really worth the trip alone!"
