Everything about our stay was incredible. Friendly hosts, beautiful property, the bubble dome was clean and looked exactly like the pictures,the breakfast was huge and delcious. Amazing stay, highly recommend!!

friendly, accommodating, great location, a very pleasant stay at a good price. Roberto & co. went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, even getting various vegan goodies for the ample included breakfast. definitely more of a home or bed & breakfast feel than hotel. grazie mille!!

This was a journey into the past. Atena Lucana, the old city, is high on the mountain top and overlooks a spectacular valley below. It has breathtaking views. You need to be a mountain goat to climb and explore the streets. But if you love antiquity and have a sense of adventure, you won't be disappointed. The church of St Ciro is quite beautiful. the hotel is in a beautiful old palace. The owner of the hotel was extremely helpful and extremely nice. The room was spacious and very comfortable.

Very nice hotel, in a remote area of italy , but a great stop along your drive to the west coast... Everyone was happy to help us , they spoke little english , but went out of there way to help.. The restaurant was GREAT, the chief made a amazing meal... the suff tried so hard to help and understand us.. we made it work and it was a great overnight stop and stay for some rest

Michele and his staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The only thing I can say that might be a detriment is the air conditioning could have been stronger. I will say that is was in the high 90s. I would definitely use this hotel again

I was looking for an authentic place to stay in Muro Lucano and Nonna's was it! You can walk to many places but know that there are many steps and hills. Grocery store a minute walk down the street.

What a wonderful and unique experience. We are a family of 6 from NY, who struggle in Italian, but the staff here made it very easy to get squared away. The lady who must be the owner was very kind and so were the younger ladies. The rooms have more character than any hotel we’ve ever been to before. The pool is nice, all of the decor is perfect. The food in the restaurant was fantastic, the house red was equally great. The Chef comes by to talk to the guests. There were some other families...

What a wonderful, quiet sanctuary with the modern facilities and amazing chef it also has the qualities of being able to visit Melfi, which is a wonderful town rich in history. This hotel is worth the trip and you will find you get far more than what you pay for. I highly recommend it.

A beautiful farmhouse shaped like a fortress just outside of Calitri. The host is very accommodating and helped me make some reservations despite not speaking English/my Italian being no good. Waking up to the birds was a treat, the bed was cozy and the shower worked well. It would be fun to have a bunch of friends stay there for a week. Definitely requires a car, I thought maybe one could walk in and out of Calitri but it's an enormous vertical distance, it would take hours.

Clean, great breakfast options, and close to restaurants and shopping.

They are accomodating to their guests,they make sure you are comfortable. The staff are very pleasent .The restaurant has great food with excellent wait staff.At a reasonable price.My compliments!
