Castello Di Monterone is a small castle that has outfitted into an 11-12 room hotel. The rooms are small but comfortable with high quality bathrooms, windows, etc. There are lots of little alcoves, inside and out, to hole up in. We were very satisfied with this hotel. It is in a great location, very clean, the staff were kind and extremely helpful. The breakfast was also very good. Overall, a great value and represents the lovely town of Spoleto very well. We'd definitely stay here again.
It was a great stay and we loved the resident cat! The only problem we had was the inconsistency with WiFi. Anyone who needs total access at all times should not stay here. Otherwise I would have given a + rating.
Assisi was one of our favorite places to visit in Italy and we highly recommend for all to stay here. Note: town closes down by 8:30-9:00pm. Oh almost forgot they have parking and the bus stops are right close to hotel!

Assisi is a wonderful medieval town, and Hotel Pax is a cozy, friendly, and well-run place to stay there. My girlfriend and I were the only guests on our first night there, and the owner stayed late to check us in, as we had a bit of trouble getting there on the bus system. Asis the town of St Francis of Asis, what an experice, I would love to leave in a little old town like that, the love that we felt in Asis is unexplainable, you have to be there.
The best part of staying at this hotel was the front desk clerk Anil. He brought and extra pillow ave a fan to help cool the room down. 2nd best was the beautiful rooftop pool with chairs to sit out ave enjoy the evening air. 3rd was the delicious dinner at the restaurant, the Cannaloni was amazing. Fun breakfast bar with so many options. Nice stay!
