The hotel was tucked away in a small town just outside of Montefalco. The rooms (including bathroom) were very large and decorated to the hilt. The owner makes the pastries (about 6-8) every morning. They have a wonderful dog, Pepo on premises which is very friendly and affectionate. We tried the restaurant and it was good as well. Service was impeccable
The facilities and location were gorgeous, but what was most impressive was the extraordinary staff. They were kind, gracious, and accommodating. They made the whole experience exceptional.

Hotel dei Duchi in Spoleto offers a wonderful, quiet stay with a great location for sightseeing that is very walkable to all the main historic attractions. The property is spotlessly clean and making it the perfect retreat after a day of exploring the town. The breakfast buffet is excellent with a fantastic selection of delicious options to start your morning. Best of all, everyone on the staff was remarkably friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout our entire visit.
What a VIEW! we had room 26 with a cutely decorated balcony facing the valley with a gorgeous bell tower standing guard. it was so peaceful Three minutes easy walk into town with dining, shopping and sites to see. The owners made us feel like family. Everyone so happy and friendly. Fantastic breakfast. Rooms were very up to date and artistically decorated. Would love to go there again!
My husband and I stayed here on our first part of our two week trip through Europe. What a great start to our honeymoon. They gave us the honeymoon suite, we had gorgeous views of the rolling hills of Italy. We were so close to the centre of town and walked there one night of our stay. Very nice, but it's a long haul to carry luggage from car to reception over gravel. Wheels are of no use. Also, if you have booked the Annex, leave your luggage in the car or you will have to haul them from the reception back to the car; you must drive to the Annex--not convenient. But it is a lovely property close to San Gimignani.
It was a great stay and we loved the resident cat! The only problem we had was the inconsistency with WiFi. Anyone who needs total access at all times should not stay here. Otherwise I would have given a + rating.
Assisi was one of our favorite places to visit in Italy and we highly recommend for all to stay here. Note: town closes down by 8:30-9:00pm. Oh almost forgot they have parking and the bus stops are right close to hotel!
This hotel is fantastic! The balcony view of the Tuscan landscape and the Basilica was incredible. The twin bed was adequate and fit the theme of staying at a former monastery. The staff was warm, welcoming, and helpful. The hotel has a chapel inside (it was a monastery) and that was an added treat. The main churches were easily accessible. I cannot imagine staying at a more beautiful place in Assisi than this hotel!
