We arrived early and I asked the front desk person if they could hold our luggage. To our shock, she checked us in early and we were able to go to our room. The hotel is convenient to the train station, shopping, and there is a theatre across the street. We opted to eat in the hotel restaurant and the food, drink, and service was all exceptional. We only stayed one night on a whirlwind tour of Scotland. This was by far the nicest hotel during our trip. Staff was pleasant and helpful. The meal in the dining room was excellent. The room was clean and spacious with a lovely modern bathroom. We appreciated the snacks and water provided along with the usual coffee and tea. Coffee and snacks served in the lobby at checkout time was a perk. For race track goers you could not find a better location!

The staff was incredibly friendly. The historic building is beautiful. The room was spacious and had a kitchen. Everything was spotless. The bathroom shower was large, great water pressure and temperature. The bed is super comfortable. They don't make up the rooms daily, as it is an apartment hotel.
