The View by BIDE Hotels
10/10 Excellent
"We had the pleasure of staying with Ruth at the view. We were in a top floor penthouse room with stunning view to the sea & a small balcony to the rear Chatted with Ruth on arrival who kindly showed us to the room. Ruth explained it was a soft opening & a few finishing touches would be completed later. These didn’t spoil our stay. Lovely time with a friendly host you will not be disapponted. Many thanks Ruth .. Andras & Rob"
Park Hotel
8/10 Good
"Staff. Very friendly and pleasant to talk to, although there was a feeling that the administration could be improved. We had to pay an unexpected £48 for breakfast when we arrived and then received a bill for dinner two days earlier. This was no question dishonesty; it was poor organisation. Breakfast was a disappointment. They boasted about the quality of their breakfast, but it was dried out from being "kept warm". On the other hand, my wife asked for a smaller main course at dinner, and they charged half price. Parking. It was available, and they had electric charging points. We didn't use them because we didn't bring our EV, but we appreciated that they were there."
Strathy Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Would really recommend. We had a great stay! The property is very clean and feels like home. Heather and Craig are very helpful. We had a nice dinner and breakfast. There is a nice beach quite close to the property, worth having a walk."
Pentland

"Good hotel to stay in prior to ferry crossing to Orkney"
Manor House
10/10 Excellent
"We had a great stay at Manor House! It is a perfect convenient location if you’re catching the Scrabster ferry. The rooms were spacious and clean. The property is family run and they were wonderful people! We had a delicious dinner at the restaurant and they offered breakfast as well with both continental and a full Scottish hot breakfast options to choose from."

The Hawthorns Bed & Breakfast
10/10 Excellent
"This is a great B&B, close to the Gill's Bay ferry, and easy to find. The owners were very helpful and explained all of the room functions. The breakfast was amazing. Great place to stay the night before a ferry crossing. I had to good runs from the property that didn't require running on the main road, so it felt safe."
Celtic Lodges
