"This is a basic hotel offering for a fair price accommodation near the centre of Taunton. I found staff polite, the room unexceptional though mostly clean not the most modern, the corridors and feel a little maze-like (I wasn't convinced I could have found the way without the very helpful receptionist walking me to the relevant staircase). Overall good for the money."

Wiping off muddy or coffee marks off the walls in the bedroom. TV needs tuning very difficult to source a channel. I did raise this issue but was told its always been that way! Staff were super friendly, the evening meal was beautiful. Great waitress service"

"A little dated and basic, but was very pleasantly surprised! Enjoyed my spontaneous night here with the dog, staff very kind and helpful. Big cups in the room, with nice biscuits and Yorkshire tea! I stayed for convenience, not a ‘need’ and personally for £37 a night, I’d happily go back again!"

"Stayed for one night en route to a North Devon holiday. The room was excellent, spacious, clean and well laid out. A very comfy bed meant a good night's sleep. Bathroom even had a bath. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and had a very good meal. Breakfast was also excellent with a great choice all freshly cooked. Plenty of easy parking and outdoor space. Definitely worth staying and would do so again."
