The room blended in with the park-like environment. Easy walk to village and restaurants. Staff was friemdly and the room was spotless. Would love to return as soon as possible.
A great French country boarding house. We came at off season and had the place to ourselves! Best eggs for breakfast of our entire trip!!! Dinner at the hotel was more expensive than I expected but worth the price. Would love to have been here on a warmer day to explore the grounds but it was just too cold. If you have a car you need to explore the countryside around this place
I arrived on Thursday, June 18th (4ish pm)
After a long walk from the train station (apparently public transportation is very scarce in Rocamadour) to the hotel, the receptionist was very kind and welcoming. We stumbled through our language barrier (she was very patient with me) and I was checked in and on my way. Before I went to my room, I asked if she would schedule a taxi for me back to the train station on by departure day. She was very accomodating. Better yet, the taxi showed up. It's a...
This place is a mini paradise. The room was sparkling clean and the host was perfect. We had the room with the twin beds, which were quite firm. There are restaurants within a five-minute drive, and breakfast at the BnB was lovely. I wish we could have stayed all week. If I’m in this area again, I’ll definitely return.
Mark was the best host and an amazing and funny guy. He made us the most amazing meals (he's a chef) and the place was just beautiful. these pictures don't do it justice. We loved the space and Mark made it even more wonderful. Thanks, Merci, Carrie and Dino. we will write a song about you, keep watching.
This hotel is very clean and has gorgeous views. But what was also remarkable was that the staff was not only friendly, but also went above and beyond to help us figure out transportation during a train strike. We truly appreciated everyone that helped. When you visit, be sure to eat at the restaurant! You won't regret it! It was delicious! Merci beaucoup!
Bernadette was an excellent host. Family of 4 was very comfortable in two adjoining rooms. Rooms and bathrooms have all been renovated with modern amenities . Beds were very comfortable.
Host asked us the night before when we would like breakfast, her suggestion for 9:00 am was perfect time. Fresh pastries ( all homemade) yogurt, jams, juice and coffee and chocolate milk for kids, were all ready for us. We enjoyed talking to Bernadette about our travels during breakfast.
Property was spacious...
We arrived late afternoon and were greeted first by Tokay, the owners' cute lical dog, then by the proprietor who, after rhe usual introduction. asked if we would want dinner and outlined thr menu. When I told him that ine of us was a vegetarian. he immediatel proposed a meatless dish, since he was also rhe chef.
The auberge is somewhat isolated, but you can take an enjoyabe walk up the country road that faces the inn toget a sense of rural French life. It is also not far from the medieval...
