"A wonderful little cozy hotel with a charming cabin-style feel. The atmosphere was warm, peaceful, and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. It has that perfect rustic charm without sacrificing comfort. A lovely place to stay if you're looking for something cozy, quiet, and full of character. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back!"

"Our stay at Monteverde Lodge far exceeded expectations! The staff was very communicative in advance of our arrival for check-in timing and assisting with booking activities so that we could maximize our short stay in Monteverde. The property is pristine and rooms are luxurious; we were able to upgrade to an upper level Mountain Gem where the view from our balcony looked atop the cloud forest canopy teeming with wildlife; at one point, a group of koatis and capuchin monkeys were playing together in the trees and jumping on the rooftop of adjacent building right next to our room for a long time. The beds/linens were incredibly comfortable, the bathroom was huge with a walk-in closet for spreading out and there is excellent soundproofing between the rooms and the balcony doors so that you can rest quietly. The rooms also have very high ceilings for a cozy, cavernous feel. The guest atrium is a very beautifully decorated common space full of well-manicured plants and board games for downtime. The restaurant is very delicious too; the included breakfast was full of amazing choices with possibly the best French toast I have ever had.. and the lunch & dinner menus were amazing for the various diets in our group; truly fine-dining quality of ingredients and service/presentation. The lodge also allowed a late check-out without any issue when we had to rebook an activity that ran over by 1 hour, which was very accommodating. This place is truly excellent all-around."

"Staff were welcoming and very helpful. They were quite knowledgeable about local attractions, and even sent us a list of recommended restaurants, all three of which we tried were quite good. Breakfast is excellent. The room was functional but spartan. As examples, there’s only one trash can, and the night stand is a chunk of firewood stood on end. There’s no AC, but there’s a huge ceiling fan. The entrances to both the upper and lower parking lots are a little nuts and super steep; you almost need four wheel drive to access them. The only real “complaint” is that we stayed in the lower building, and the sewer/septic system is immediately behind it; if we opened the bathroom window there was a quite unpleasant odor."

"The overall set up of the building was very cool. Loved how the rooms were set apart from the main area, in our case, through an outdoor walkway. And what a great common area inside and outside on the deck! The deck overlooked the countryside. The breakfast options provided were wonderful and we felt well taken care of. The decor of the building and rooms was truly unique, loved the white stucco, open beams and coloured glass bead designs! Very comfortable, clean and accommodating stay."

"From the moment we got to the hotel until we left, the staff were wonderful. My family and I were greeted with freshly made juice blend that was delicious and our bags were taken to our room. We booked activities prior to arriving but wish we hadn’t because they help you with all of that as well, which includes transportation to and from the hotel. I highly recommend the night walk and zip line activities. We had to leave early in the morning due to an early afternoon flight out of San Jose, and they even packed us. Breakfast to go for that as well. My wife and I are looking forward to coming back as this was a very peaceful place. We took our six year old daughter and she loved it as well. It rained the entire time we were there but it does say cloud forest after all, so in a way, that was expected. I can’t wait to come back. Thank you for making our stay memorable."
