The property is gated which provided peace of mind and privacy. 100% bring bug spray if you plan to sit outside after dark as there are a lot of bugs. The hot tub was great to use after a long day of hiking / exploring to just sit back and enjoy the view. One slight down side of the property, the main room gets quite hot in the afternoon since it fully faces west even with the AC on, which may or may not be a good thing depending on the weather. 100% would book this property again though.

WE stayed in the Casa Verde at the Finca Sunset and it was amazing! A short drive from Santa Elena in a secured/gated area, it allowed for convenience and privacy. Andrea was an outstanding host, going above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Fresh eggs, bread and orange juice we're waiting for us along with a bottle of wine when we arrived. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The amazing views of the sunset each night were especially nice from the hot tub on the deck. We HIGHLY recommend a stay here!!!

Only downside was the smell of the drains in the second bathroom - it was really bad - to the point where we shut off that room altogether. Didn’t meet any staff but key instructions were fine. Great views, good location not far from town, very clean, unique layout, and also private hiking access… we really enjoyed our stay here. It was very comfortable. (My only complaint was that it wasn’t possible to distinguish between the shampoo, conditioner, or body wash bottles. But that is a very minor inconvenience.) And my kids are 14 and 11 and there were thrilled with it. Overall, I give this place an A+.

Finca Sunset Monteverde was absolutely outstanding — easily one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. The house is clean, new, and beautifully designed, with attention to detail everywhere. The views are truly out of this world and something you’ll never get tired of, whether it’s morning coffee or sunset. The host went above and beyond by leaving a welcome basket with beer, wine, eggs, local fruits and bread, which was such a thoughtful and appreciated touch. Everything about this stay exceeded our expectations. We absolutely loved it and would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to anyone visiting Monteverde.

Difficult to find in the dark but there is gate with name on it and they’ll open it for you to enter . Parking at mini-house. 2 bedroom, 2 bath, full kitchen. Deck with sun bathing area. Jet tub. Patio. Good wifi. Fans. Big zapper. Lots of bugs. Water was not always hot but warm. Great onsite hike with amazing views! Would come back!
