We loved Tangier, we came here to spend a few days and ended up staying 2 weeks. After visiting Marrakech and Casablanca, Tangier turned out to be a more relaxing, cleaner and modern city with a huge beach promenade and a very nice Medina.

It was an amazing day trip. We should have done our research and realized we went during Ramadan as food was scarce and we were practically fasting as well!

The medina is a wanderers delight. Full of delicious food, sights, views, kitties, artisan shopping and lovely people.

We could not have been more surprised how amazing the city was. All the things about covering up keeping eyes down etc. Are all silly. The town and people welcome you we had a guide which helped us navigate everything. Well worth the $$.

Tangier has a terrible cat problem. While street dogs are tagged and checked for vaccinations, street cats are left to their own. People put food out on streets but injured, ill, oozing scarred cats are left to suffer.

Everyone was very friendly, most spoke English, everyone spoke Spanish. The hotel set us up with an amazing tour guide who took us to the market and helped us negotiate prices. He didnt barter for us, but he let me know what prices were too high.

From all cities I visited in Morocco (including Casablanca and Marrakech), Tangier was without a doubt the most charming!
"Nice hotel great location excellent service big thanks to emad and yassin at the lobby very good breakfast lot of food great hospitality great service big thanks to ilham and safae and all other stuff "
"Such a wonderful place at entrance of the the Medina of Tangier. A former bank building from 1907 transferred in the early 2000s to a hotel. After traveling for almost 3 weeks all over Morocco we had our last two nights in this historic place. Great service, excellent breakfast buffet, nicely decorated rooms. Very detail orientated decor of the hotel. The only shortcoming was the noise coming from the street at night. We had a balcony room, facing the street, lovely during daytime and in the evenings, but a bit noisy at night. Not the fault of the hotel, but if you have a light sleep you might want to ask a room facing not the street. "
"The property is near the edge of the Medina, very close to interesting museums and landmarks, and the promenade along the water. The top floor is a restaurant open all day and evening, with a great view of the harbour and the sea, and a pleasant sea breeze. The hotel staff is super helpful, and helps ordering taxis and carrying suitcases from the hotel down stairs to the taxi pick up point. The hotel is very close to the Grand Mosque, which means that the call to prayer is audible at specific times of the day. "
