I would have to disagree with many of the negative reviews here- I thought this was one of the nicest hotels in the northwoods. The room was comfortable and well-appointed- very comfortable beds and furniture, plenty of plug-in spots for cell phones and electronics. If you have teens or people in your party who like to stay up late, there is a door separating another room with a living/tv watching area with a foldout couch, fridge, and microwave. This hotel is pretty new, so I did expect it to be clean and comfortable and it did not disappoint! We did not get a chance to use the pool this time. But the breakfast was good. Had the usual items, including waffles! They also have small a lounge in the evenings in tge breakfast room. We didn't get a chance to use that either, but it looked nice and cozy. We will definitely try it on our next visit! We will definitely be back!

Mom and I had a wonderful working trip experience to stay at a beautiful quaint hotel & resort. When I booked the hotel, I didn't know that it was a historical hotel & resort until we got there. Tucked back into the Northern woods of central Wisconsin with it's lovely fall colored trees over looking the lake. Breath taking.... The hotel rooms were nice and clean.
