Schiff am see was a nice, comfortable hotel in Murten. Like most hotels in Switzerland, getting there and around town is a bit of “up and down” walking. The front desk staff, Stephanie and Tina were most helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good and the restaurant is available for evening meals. We had no issues with the room. We are comfortable walking stairs. Murten is an interesting town with an interesting history.
Hotel is very clean, the service friendly and the breakfast well served. the restaurant has a rather limited menu but all the dishes were excellent!
There is just no so much to see directly around and the village is rather very calm.
Good place for a relaxing weekend and some walk in the surrounding forest and lakes.
Some minor points: the shower is not really top and the walls of the room are rather thin. If do you have no neighbor it is ok otherwise ...
Beautiful location near the lake and Swiss border. The dinner and breakfast were delicious and reflected regional specialties. The staff were very helpful with trip planning.
Nice small and cosy family hotel. Felt like at home. Nothing too fancy but the owner was really pleasant, the rooms were clean and cosy, the breakfast like home made with quality products.
