Overall, this place was fantastic. The hotel did not disappoint. Only complaint is we were in the area during the “off season”, and all the surrounding businesses were essentially closed. But the breakfast alone at this hotel is reason enough to go back if I ever find myself in Switzerland again.
This was one of the most exceptional experiences I have ever had. The drive up the mountain was a bit nerve wracking, however, the setting was surreal. The accommodations were clean, rustic elegance. The view was sublime and the food was exquisite. There are many, many summer and winter activities to participate in. This place is worth traveling across the ocean to stay at!
We had an excellent stay! The room was clean, spacious, and you can tell it was recently renovated. It was nice to have the toilet separate from the shower to get the family out on the slopes and to bed faster. Beds and bedding was cozy. Breakfast is light—croissants, coffee machine, orange/apple tropicana juice, granol mixture and an assortment of cold cuts and cheeses. Location is great—3 min walk to the Morzine gondola. We loved our stay at this hotel. Really beautiful ski town. Not too far off the beaten path but it's at the very top of the village, which gives it some of the best views of the valley. Right after parking, we heard the cow bells of 6-7 cows grazing below the parking lot. There are trails within a minute outside the hotel to go exploring or go down to the village center for restaurants and things to see (although the restuarant on site offers decent options).
This cute hotel was perfect for our one night stay after hiking Cirque du Fer à Cheval. Everyone slept well; kids loved the bunk beds. The lobby/restaurant area with terrace was especially charming and a fantastic place to start the morning with a coffee. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The street also has a lot of charm, with a fantastic bakery, cute restaurant, pharmacy, and gift shop all within a block. One drawback was that pool closed at 8pm, which felt early with the long daylight...
