This was truly an authentic overnight stay in a castle built in the early 1500's. The castle was amazing by itself, but our room, Henry VIII, was an experience by itself! It was exactly what we had hoped for and more than we expected. The bedding and towels were outstanding as was the comfort of the bed. The shower was also great plus there was a jacuzzi tub. We could not determine how to turn on the heated towel rack, and we had issues with turning on the fireplace (so did the gentleman...

The staff were very welcoming. I was traveling alone so decided to book the snug bedroom. I was pleasantly surprised. It was well equipped with tea and coffee facilities, large disabled access wet room. TV and an extra rad if I was cold. For the one night stay it had everything I needed. The staff were so helpful and room was very clean. I had both breakfast and dinner at the Bistro, the food was so delicious! I would definitely stay here again if I came back to the Bristol. The building itself and window views were aesthetically pleasing.

We had a pleasant stay! It was very hot when we arrived. The first room we were given did not have working air conditioning. However, we spoke with Josh at the front desk, and he went above and beyond to make sure we had a room with working air conditioning. Josh is a valuable employee and deserves a raise in how well he goes above and beyond for the customers.
