Room was good value for price. Right beside the train station. Literally a block away. Easy walk to Castle and town. Room was extremely hot. I do realize we were traveling during a heat wave but our hotel in London was nowhere near as hot as this hotel. Probably something to do with the insulation. We went for a weekend with our cavapoo. TBH had little treat box, dog towel and little sleeping mat. We brought many of our own things but nice to make him feel welcomed. We had a great stay. I was looking for a quintessential English experience for my sons and loved staying at this classic establishment. It’s right in town center so can be a bit noisy at night with windows open since it was quite warm.
