Amazing in every way. The beauty of waking around is unlike any other. When we got there after a long day of traveling we had just missed the lunchtime to eat, and when went to shower the handle broke off- this is not a complaint. First they extended lunch without being asked and fixed the shower within minutes. From there on everything was amazing. We arrive later than 8pm. Since this is a resident hotel, we need to keep in touch with the hotel to have somebody open the door for us. No big deal though. The building and room looks aged by actually quite cozy. We had the suite one but there is value for price. We face the river and the surroundings is quiet. If you don’t lock the windows, the street starts get busy around 8am. We needed to leave at 6am and the hotel helped us call a taxi (bus in Florence is not trivial). EXCELLENT service!...
I had a great experience here that far exceeded my expectations. The location is perfect, just a short walk from major tourist attractions. The morning breakfast was delicious and offered a great variety to start the day. One standout feature was the complimentary snacks and drinks in the minibar—such a thoughtful touch that truly enhanced the experience.
Nice atmospheric hotel. Had the tone of Roman history with a painted ceiling in our room and some exposed brick. Breakfast was ok. Towels were unusual ,- very thin but still absorbent. Good location. And accommodating staff.
The room we had at this hotel was the most beautiful I've even been in. Hotel was situated in a great spot and was easily about to walk to all parts of Florence. The only downside was the evening festivities in the square. We only stayed here one night, as this was the last stop of the trip and we had to leave the hotel the next morning at 5:30 am for our flight back to the US from Rome. I loved the lady that took care of the place was very helpful, and friendly. We got a lot of suggestions from her about where to go and where to eat, she also kept sparkling clean. The only negative was the the room was too simple and expensive.
Very happy we booked here! It was such a pleasant place to stay!! Was happily surprised by a few things: The apartment is on the Piazza Carmine where there is a lovely old church Santa Maria del Carmine with the Brancacci Chapel. Also about a half block away and to left of the church steps there is a laundry mat, and just across the street from this a small grocery store, and a few more strides away a family bakery/kitchen where we got sandwiches, pastries and lasagna — lovely generational...
This is a great location - an easy 20-30-minute stroll to the city center, meanwhile you get a taste of local non-touristy culture. It's close by to some incredible historic locations and we were perfectly at home there with 4 adults, 1 child.
