Camden and related destinations
Lobster boats and sleek yachts share the postcard-perfect harbor, where sailing is less a hobby than a way of life. The Camden Opera House anchors a downtown that balances nautical charm with sophisticated shops that never feel touristy. Climb Mount Battie for views that explain why wealthy summer residents have claimed waterfront mansions since the 1880s. The Megunticook River tumbles through town before meeting Penobscot Bay, where schooners offer authentic sailing experiences. Barrett's Cove Beach provides freshwater swimming when the Atlantic proves too bracing. Camden Hills State Park offers hiking trails through forests that burst into legendary fall colors. Don't miss the harborside library - the perfect spot to plan tomorrow's adventure.

"Lovely hotel, very clean walking distance to harbor and restaurants."
Lord Camden Inn
"Room was clean. Breakfast was great! Close to town for walking. Most expensive room on our entire vacation."
High Tide Inn
"We enjoyed the views. The room was clean and comfortable. The only thing we didn't like was no refrigerator and microwave. In the room that we stayed in there was no place to eat."
16 Bay View
"Extremely nice Hotel with a great staff ... well located in this town !"
The Towne Motel
"The hotel is located within walking distance to town. There is parking at the hotel. It was quiet."
The Inn at Camden Place
"The room was very spacious and had a nice view of the river. Very comfortable with air conditioning, king sized bed and had a communal kitchen to get coffee and store food in the refrigerator. Everyone was very nice and helpful, and we were able to park right out front. We walked everywhere.. hiking, beach, restaurants, and shopping. The location was absolutely perfect!"
Hartstone Inn
"The Harstone Inn is a charming bed and breakfast hotel in downtown Camden and a short walk to the waterfront. My wife and I found the hotel charming and loved the morning breakfast. The Inn has a parking lot in the back which made our coming and going very easy. We stayed in one of the "superior" rooms which was very comfortable. We will definitely come back."
Grand Harbor Inn
"This accommodation is ideally situated in the heart of Camden, right on the harbor and in the centre of the town. The rooms are ideal and spacious with a balcony to have breakfast and soak up the atmosphere. This is an A* place and I would highly recommend."
Elms of Camden
