Truly enjoyed my stay (a week) in Luang Prabang We did some shopping, lots of variety and basic to quite high end, ate out at a few good restaurants, watched the sunset over the Mekong river ,swimming at an incredible waterfall and lots more!!

Great night market and buzz to evenings. Early morning alms ceremonies can be a great insight into Buddhist traditions but the occasion can be spoilt by inconsiderate noisy and invasive tour groups. Many temples and food options explored.

The night market here is a must, it has locally produced products from the local area, whereas in Vientaine all the products are cheap rip offs of western goods. Watch the sunrise from the hill above the monastery.

The night market was beautiful and had some amazing food. We also took a day trip along the Mekong to the local caves and waterfalls which also a wonderful day out.

Luang Prabang is set to change...the giant that is China has set up a fast rail link and Laos is taking full opportunity of this...see it whilst it is very much a beautiful, laid back version of most of modern Asia 20 years ago...simply gorgeous!

Visit the waterfalls! The hotel got me the best taxi driver in the city. The night market was fun. If you are a native English speaker, I suggest you volunteer at Big Brother Mouse a place where you can tutor locals in English for a few hours.

Would recommend to anyone if you want a relaxed and chilled time , my new favourite destination , plenty of places nearby to visit if the relaxation becomes too much , great little night market too

"Wonderful boutique hotel nestled away from the hustle and bustle of the town. Secret garden vibes and a great getaway while in Luang Prabang. It’s colonial style so don’t expect all the modern amenities although I do wish there were gym facilities. I do highly recommend!"
