"I had a very disappointing experience at Colonial Inn. First, I was placed in a smoking room—something I didn’t even realize still existed. The smell was overwhelming and completely unacceptable. It was so bad that we had to keep the windows open the entire time and even went out to buy a candle just to make the room somewhat bearable. When I asked to switch rooms, I was told the hotel was fully booked, so we were stuck dealing with it. To make matters worse, they charged a $100 security deposit, and it has now been two weeks with no refund. When I called to follow up, the staff member I spoke to was extremely rude and didn’t even bother checking whether the deposit had been released. Between the condition of the room, lack of accommodation, and poor customer service, this stay fell far below expectations. I would not recommend staying here."

"Never said construction would be happening, random doors were open constantly and in the pool area, it was 34° outside. All the ice-makers were broken and you had to go to the front desk for them to get it from the kitchen. 2nd floor reeked like weed, I could’ve smoked myself, there was no accountability. The lids for the coffee didn’t even fit the cups:.."

"We stayed here due to the access to the Braintree Logan Express, which was a 5 minute Uber ride away. We parked at the express, not at Sonesta. The hotel is grubby, smelly, and there were numerous people loitering outside the entrance which made us uneasy. There was a persistent smell of marijuana throughout the hotel which kept me up all night. Honestly it would be worth it to stay somewhere else and pay a bit more for comfort and safety. "

"The hotel stay itself was fine, but the breakfast bar was a major disappointment. The food wasn’t good—bland, unappetizing, and clearly not fresh. For something advertised as a perk, it felt like an afterthought. I wouldn’t recommend relying on the breakfast here."

"Overall it was a great stay. Not a good place for a light sleeper. Have to admit the water didn't get very hot for showers. Good restaurant on site, im from the area and being out after dark in the area can be skeptical for the single traveler. For a quick in and out stay would stay again!"

"The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the guests were quiet. Absolutely worth the stay!"

"This hotel is just ok. The rooms seemed clean-ish though severely outdated with many items not working properly including the lock on my first rooms door. The shower heads were green with hard water stains, the walls were paper thin, and the elevators were a bit concerning with noises and shaking. For the price point in this area is was just ok but honestly it is not somewhere I would stay again and in fact would likely avoid even if the only option. However, the staff was lovey and helpful. So that definitely increased my overall rating."
