"The room was clean. Breakfast was great as expected. Server was excellent. (The front desk guy could be a little more friendly to female minorities) When I arrived at the airport I call him for the shuttle and he put me on hold for a long time I had to hang up. I waited 20 minutes then I saw a shuttle passing by and I flagged him down and ask him to drop me off at the hotel. On arrival at the hotel…this is the time the front desk person told me I had to pay $10 for the shuttle (it was not specified “for a fee” on your website. He said I should read all the details. Very condescending…he told me to show him where I saw it was included. Which I did. But he said I need to read the details again…at this time I chose peace and just wanted to be checked in. I stayed for two nights. The next day When I needed the shuttle he told me I need to scan a code and pointed to the front of his counter (all this was not told to me the day before when I checked in). I finally figured it all out and try my best to avoid any interactions with him. I met two other female front desk personnel they were nice and helpful. On my departure day I sat there to wait for the shuttle back to the airport and noticed him being very friendly with the white males guests. But when I asked him a question about the cancellation and rescheduling of the shuttle he tends to be a bit annoyed. Anyways…overall the stay was quite comfortable."

"everything good EXCEPT: final bill emailed to me was inaccurate. No email given to address it, only a phone number. THEY HAVE NO BUSINESS OFFICE and front desk staff are expected to deal with billing issues. It took two phone calls, one with a 13 minute hold time. Front desk person worked hard to generate a correct bill (it took two attempts). When finished, I asked to speak with the manager who was pretty clueless and unhelpful. The whole issue is that I had a $4.54 incidental charge that did not appear on my original bill. I just wanted the full and correct charges on my bill. I DO NOT TRUST THEIR INTERNAL SYSTEMS and I DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION."

"Location is a block from the 12th Street BART Oakland Station so easy access (two stops) to San Francisco & back. Hotel is showing its age, the WiFi is horribly slow but rooms are renovated plus the water pressure in the shower is divine! Great alternative to the expensive accommodations in SF. Downtown Oakland is right outside this hotel, there’s coffee shops & restaurants within 2 blocks all around plus you have Oakland Chinatown & it’s many eateries, markets & bakeries a block away!"

"Chose this for the proximity to the airport, though we drove in from the Central Valley. Safe location. Short drive to the Bay Bridge to get to the city, short drives to the ferry stops, too. Really convenient location. Slept our family of 5 comfortably, but were not used to sharing one bathroom. Extra towels and blankets were readily available."
