Learn more about Blowing Rock
Tucked into the Blue Ridge Mountains, this village offers a perfect blend of small-town charm and outdoor adventure. Main Street invites exploration with its boutique shops and cozy cafes housed in historic buildings. The town's namesake, The Blowing Rock, creates an unusual upward wind phenomenon that locals claim can return thrown items. Moses H. Cone Memorial Park offers miles of carriage trails through stunning landscapes. Thrill-seekers can hit the slopes at Appalachian Ski Mountain or enjoy the vintage amusement park experience at Tweetsie Railroad. After hiking Price Lake's shoreline trail, browse the Blowing Rock Art and History Museum for a taste of mountain culture. For spectacular views, the Mile High Swinging Bridge at nearby Grandfather Mountain isn't for the faint-hearted.

Holiday Inn Express Blowing Rock South by IHG
"I got a room for my wife and me for a good rate for 2 nights. Convenient location to Main Street Blowing Rock. The complimentary free breakfast was above average compared to other hotels - not great, but good enough. Majority of the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room’s bathroom drain needs some work. It drained too slow. I brought it to the attention of the lady at the front desk but told her that since we were only there for 2 nights that it didn’t need to be addressed immediately. Just wanted them to know for future reference. However, this issue could not have just occurred and hotel management should have already resolved this."
The Embers Hotel
"We have stayed here twice in the last six months. It is a beautiful new hotel right downtown. Great staff and excellent restaurant and bar."
Blowing Rock Inn
"Great place to stay in a great location. Lots of things to do around the area."
Meadowbrook Inn
"Our room was so big! And so very nice!"
The Getaway Blowing Rock
"Beautiful and Amazing place to stay"
Mountainaire Inn and Log Cabins
"Great location, just a short walk from the center of town. Nice little place with good accommodations for a short weekend stay. The parking could be challenging at times, but overall had a great time!!"
The Village Inn
"Room was rustic in appearance, quaint and very clean. Overall bed was comfy but a little saggy in the middle. Bath was very clean and included H20 amenities and lots of fluffy towels. Nice hot shower. Great black out drapes. Enjoyed having the Keurig coffee maker in the room. Thoroughly enjoyed the private deck and chairs facing the forested area. We had a beautiful cloudless night and got to see so many stars. About 15-20 min walk to main street. Very convenient. We had seen some negative reviews on other sites but our experience was great."
Swiss Mountain Village
"Magical property! Peaceful. Away from everything and close to everything all at the same time. Loved it. Will definitely stay again."
The Windmoor Hotel
"Room is spacious. Layout is kind of goofy. They provide soft comfortable couch that looks at a locked door and sink. Not sure if TV pulls far enough off the wall to turn toward the couch but I didn’t want to test it. No check in desk BUT through messaging they are super fast at responding 100% would stay there again Very convenient to everything 4.99 stars. I wish I could have sat on the couch to watch TV."
