Loved the many beaches in the area. It's a shame there aren't more restaurant and shopping options. But for the fishing crowd, this looks promising. Some of the most breathtaking beaches and views.

Town seemed older and a bit rundown, but so are we. Motel was a good value. Block or so away, wonderful and tasty restaurant named Spinners.Restaurant was quality of ones in Newport or Lincoln City. We would highly recommend it.

It's a quaint little town. There's shopping and coffee shops and places to park and see the ocean views or walk on the beach.

Gold Beach is a fun little town. Not many places to shop but great beaches. Real close to Pacific Reef Hotel is Spinners Restaurant. Excellent food but you pay for it.

Limited places to eat out but off season when we were there. Not a big deal to us but maybe to others.
"A unique stay. You could drive right by and almost not see it. But once inside, you realize its value. Self check-in made it seem more like an AirBnb. Very nice, very spacious room and cozy lobby. By far our most comfortable stay of a two-week trip down the coast."
"This was our fourth time at this property since 2001, and it is still first rate. New family ownership a couple years ago has led to upgrades in several areas (glass cabins, spa, sauna).
The location on the Rogue is great with a sweeping view of the river to the south. The restaurant is superb, though options are somewhat limited and pricey.
There are kayaks and other toys available. You can get picked up at their dock for a jet boat excursion up the river. Gold Beach is 15 minutes or less away and there are great coastal spots to visit in close proximity."
