"Excellent beachfront property"

"Was told if I had one guest for one hour I would lose my deposit. This place is outrageous. Do not stay here by far. The worst experience I’ve had in years."

"I didn't use the AC. In any case it's not required in San Clemente. Ever. I didn't drive there. I used public transportation. ."

"It’s a really cute space, but there were also a few issues. When we arrived there was no one in the office. We waited for about 5 minutes and started to call the support line when someone ended up coming out to help us, but it felt unorganized. Our room was overall clean, but the sink had a gross smell like drain needed to be cleaned. The glass shower door also only had one glass panel, so it didn’t close all the way. When we tried to get back into our room later on, our code didn’t work (we also weren’t given a code on time when we arrived). Thankfully they have support staff to call and they were very helpful and reset the code, but again just another issue we ran into. It’s also dog friendly which is great, but there’s really no space for dogs to go to the bathroom except for a thin strip of grass in the front of the property. The bed was very comfy. Overall just an okay experience I would say. "

"Sort of a weird location"

"The Beachcomber was everything we thought it might be , charming, well located, with staff that was friendly helpful and courteous. We arrived by train and we certainly appreciated the fact that it was a short walk from the station. We can say without reservation that we would return should our travel plans ever take us to San Clemente again!"

"I have had more comfortable beds. I think I’d bring a mattress pad next time last day and I will. It’s hard to beat the price."

"This is our regular hotel when we go to San Clemente (about 5-6 times/year). Everything was top shelf in terms of cleanliness, staff friendliness, etc. The only disappointing things were I could not make tea in my room and my room was in the corner where the ocean view I paid for was somewhat obstructed."
