Learn more about Crested Butte
Beneath towering peaks, this former coal mining town has transformed into a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts without losing its frontier soul. The Mountain Resort offers legendary powder skiing in winter, while summer reveals why locals call this the 'Wildflower Capital of Colorado.' Mountain bikers tackle the famous Trail 403 for views that justify every uphill pedal. The Victorian-era downtown feels refreshingly authentic, where ski boots and hiking shoes outnumber dress shoes at local watering holes. Visit the Mountain Heritage Museum to understand how miners became ski bums, then catch a performance at the Center for the Arts. The Nordic Center provides groomed trails for cross-country adventures when snow blankets the valley.

Old Town Inn
"Staff (Chris and Mike) are outstanding. Warm, friendly and kind."
The Grand Lodge, A Vail Resorts Property
"Enjoyed our stay though too short"
Nordic Inn
"If we discount the walk up and down the flight of stairs, the Inn itself is beautiful, elegant and the room was worth the price. The common spaces were very well designed and had considerable space for some relaxed time. The breakfast was good, not great - pre-made burritos and sandwiches that one has to heat, but, with juices, milk and cereal."
The Grand Lodge by Traverse Hospitality (No Resort Fees)
"This isn't a luxury resort, but that's also not what we booked. For the price, it was a great stay. The unit was clean, comfortable, and had a very well-equipped kitchen. Communication was excellent, and the check-in process was easy and hassle-free. There was a property fee that initially felt a little high given the limited amenities available during our stay, and one of the elevators was out of service. That said, the place delivered exactly what it promised: a clean, comfortable, convenient base for enjoying Crested Butte. Overall, the value, cleanliness, and communication earned a 5-star review from me, and I would stay here again."
The Plaza by Traverse Hospitality
"Very comfortable unit which was very clean. Bedding was comfortable and nice view of the mountains. Host communication was exceptional and very helpful. Well equipped kitchen. Built in 1981 so a little dated especially the toilets which are more suited for shorter folks. Carpet was nice but could use some stain removal, but overall, a nice place to stay."
Vaquera House
"Beautiful rooms, comfy beds, and the staff was so accommodating and friendly!"
Public House Lofts
"This was one of the nicest places we have stayed! The amenities were all top notch!"
