Learn more about Cape Neddick
Waves crash dramatically against the rocky outcrop where Nubble Lighthouse stands sentinel, creating perhaps New England's most photographed maritime scene. Morning fog transforms the landscape into a watercolor painting before revealing Mount Agamenticus trails with their sweeping Atlantic views. Cape Neddick Country Club offers fairways with ocean vistas that make even terrible golf shots worthwhile. Nearby, Ogunquit Beach provides perfect sand for lounging, while the Ogunquit Playhouse stages Broadway-caliber shows in an intimate setting. Perkins Cove's working harbor doubles as an outdoor art gallery where boats create constantly shifting compositions. The Center For Wildlife offers close encounters with rehabilitating creatures that call this rugged coastline home.

Ogunquit - The Milestone
"Room felt damp even though it had both air conditioning and a dehumidifier. The Milestone rooms are a little dated but the location makes up for any shortcomings. It’s just a short walk to the footbridge beach."
Ocean Surf at York Beach
"The desk and cleaning staffs were attentive to my needs. Very nice pool area. Building itself is well taken care of. Parking was a little tight, but doable. Building was right on the ocean. An "I would stay here again" type of place."
Port Inn and Suites Portsmouth, an Ascend Collection Hotel
"Great location close to highway and Portsmouth. And just the right size for a very quick stay"
Kings Port Inn
"Couldn’t be a more perfect location and everyone was so friendly."
The Beach House Inn
"The location close to the beach was excellent. Parking was available and was very handy and close to the beach. The staff was excellent. Coffee was available 24 hours, which was great. The air conditioner worked fine. The only potential downsides are: the room had a queen size bed, and bathroom with tub shower, but was rather small. Despite these downsides, we loved staying so conveniently close to the beach and to our nearby relatives. We would definitely rent again."
Ocean Sands at York Beach
"The good: The place is across the street from the ocean. If you're into hanging out on the beach, the location is perfect. We're a young family and this hotel is on a more quiet stretch of the road which is also ideal for us. The pool area isn't large but it is very clean and nice for a dip after a day in the sea. The maps on google bely the fact that there are places easily within walking distance: restaurants, light fair, shopping, and just generally nice stuff to look at. Where this is on the beach is rocky and if you're a beach bum check out the tide tables, the ocean comes right up to the rocky shingle. I'd highly recommend wearing your shoes down to the beach. The not-as-good: First up pricing- I booked w/Expedia on a pay later option. About 2 weeks ahead of my trip I called to make a deposit and when asking for my remaining balance I was informed that my total cost to stay was ~$600 more than my Expedia booking said it would be. What I found out was that the resort didn't recognize the Expedia price. Expedia was unable to do anything about lowering my price and the resort wouldn't budge. If you book- pay it all up front. Our room was available 45mins early but it wasn't clean. The floors and interior of the microwave in particular were dirty. House keeping comes every 3 days; keep this in mind. Everything in our suite always felt sandy. The hotel can be loud at night, there were many nights where the people above us were banging around at 1am."
Hampton Inn & Suites Portsmouth Downtown
"Great location and nice room,"
Ogunquit Tides Resort
"Room was clean. Could have used some hooks to hang things on and a couple of chairs in large entry area would be nice upgrade but overall very comfortable. Would stay again."
The Meadowmere Resort
"Fine and clean. Close to town"
