Learn more about Mountain Home
Between the Bruneau Dunes and Snake River Birds of Prey reserve, adventure awaits beyond this Air Force town's modest façade. Climb North America's tallest single-structured sand dune at Bruneau Dunes State Park, where amateur astronomers gather at the observatory on clear nights. The Mountain Home Museum offers a surprisingly engaging look at local history, including Native American artifacts and military memorabilia. Golf enthusiasts can tee off at Desert Canyon while nature lovers explore the dramatic landscapes of nearby Sawtooth National Forest. For a truly local experience, chat with airmen at downtown diners where conversations flow as freely as the coffee. Don't miss the raptors soaring above Snake River Canyon – their aerial displays outshine any human flight demonstrations.

"I need a handicap room with a walk-in shower and higher toilet. They only had one and it was in use. They accommodated me by making sure I was on the main floor. Luckily I was only there for one night so I choose not to shower. Toileting was hard but I managed with help. The staff offered to help me find another hotel but I choose to stay at Best western"
