Learn more about Rodanthe
Waves crash against the easternmost point of North Carolina where wild horses occasionally roam the pristine Outer Banks beaches. Cast a line from Rodanthe Pier or explore the untamed beauty of Cape Hatteras National Seashore. The historic Chicamacomico Life-Saving Station offers a glimpse into maritime rescue history. Visit during 'Old Christmas' on January 6th to witness the unique local tradition featuring the mythical beast 'Old Buck.' Birdwatchers flock to Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge for spectacular sightings. Kayaking on Pamlico Sound provides a peaceful contrast to Atlantic surf. With only 213 residents, this tiny unincorporated community delivers outsized natural beauty and coastal charm without the crowds found elsewhere on the Outer Banks.

"Right across from the beach! Great price for location. The room was clean, though the shower drain was slow. All ammenities that one could hope for were there."

Ocean Sands Beach Boutique Inn - Stay At the Beach
"Room was small but clean, pet fees were expensive ,on-site staff were terrific, and friendly, check in /check out was a kiosk,3 blocks from public beach access ,was a last minute booking due to other hotel canceled my reservation, overall made the best of it,complimentary breakfast is light."

"Clean room but breakfast was mid"
Heart of Manteo Motor Lodge
"The room was clean and cool. early sign-in was helpful. Rates were good. The back part of the motel needs better handicap access to the main walkway. Parking spaces blocked access steps and the one ramp was not well built and was nearly impossible to use. For someone using a rollator or wheelchair, getting to the room is a problem. We did like the quietness of the facility at night. Cleaning staff were pleasant. The motel was perfect for someone planning to attend the Lost Colony play, just a short drive away."
Travelodge by Wyndham Outer Banks/Kill Devil Hills
