Clean room with basic amenities. Outstanding accommodations for beach access. Including pool, playground, and plenty of gathering and cookout areas. We loved the oceanfront gazebo with plenty of seating and great view of the ocean. Not to mention a fantastic breakfast is included. This hotel checks all the right boxes fo ar very reasonable price.

We started in a regular room in the larger building then moved to an oceanfront room is the Sea building. So glad we were able to make the switch. We spent several days on the beach and due to the room being right on the beach made for an easy back and forth. We'll definitely be back.

We absolutely LOVED John Yancey hotel! The beach access cannot be beat. We had sandwiches from the gas station stop and shop which were amazing and dinner at millers two nights in a row. Fabulous! The staff were all so sweet and amazing. We ended up staying an extra night because we loved it so much. We will absolutely be back! Breakfast and ice machine were also very very nice!

My room was as described and I enjoyed my stay there. I'm a little picky so there were a couple things that I feel should have been taken care of. I did not get a chance to talk to mgmt about them, so i'm going to believe that they were on their to do list. I came with a newly injured knee and couldn't take advantage of shaded beach overlook, cuz climbing up and down the stairs once was enough. Very nice beach access, with seating areas in and out of the sun. Breakfast with hot and cold selections, was very well done. Would stay again.

The stay was a decent value. Excellent access to the beach - loved the little community porch facing the water. Hotel room had the basics we needed, nothing extra. The beds are uncomfortable - my partner was painfully stiff each day. The ice machine in our building was broken for the duration of our stay. The included breakfast was better than expected - boiled eggs, muffins, waffle making station and juices. Pool is far too cold to use in September, but was clean and kept up well. We had a private balcony, but it was within two feet of the ramp everyone uses for the beach. Overall, appreciated the beach proximity.
