L.A. is a marvelous city! People are friendly, engaged, and willing to chat it up! Traffic is weird. There's so much space yet it's cut throat but not terrible by any means. Prepare to drive everywhere or use metro but totally manageable either way.

Like all big cities it has its problems, however each visit there shows the commitment to making it a place people want to visit and come back. Great selection of restaurants and venues and a lot of history that people would love if they venture out

The Los Angeles Opera in downtown Los Angeles is great. There are several really good restaurants in that area. We drove out to the coast and over to Thousand Oaks. The Joel McCrea Ranch is part of Conejo Rec and Parks-- great Valentine's event!

Lots of things to do. A little expensive to get around by cab, so better if you can utilize transit. The city should make a better effort to clean the sidewalks, streets and parks, especially in hotel areas, and encourage landlords to do the same.

We walked downtown, but personally I would only do this on the daytime in well lit, high traffic areas. There are a variety of demographics. You just have to stay aware and street smart, The LA live area was well patrolled, busy and felt safe.

Downtown LA is coming back, still some shady areas as you would expect in a city, awareness of surrounding is all it takes to stay safe, fun nightlife options within walking distance and the energy of city consumes you. Dtla is on the up

Lovely weather that's great for walking around and exploring. I would highly recommend BLUDSO'S BBQ, in either central LA or their newer location in Santa Monica. Probably the best best brisket and hush puppies I've ever eaten.

There are a lot of pickpockets and scammers on Hollywood Boulevard, so street smarts are a must! Other than that, there's a wide range of places to eat and things to see and do! I didn't need to rent a car during my stay either !

Iconic spots like Hollywood Sign and Griffith Observatory, beaches (Santa Monica, Venice, Malibu), diverse food scene, shopping on Rodeo Drive, vibrant nightlife, cultural sites like LACMA, and outdoor spots like Runyon Canyon.
"I was genuinely impressed by the condition of this hotel—it exceeded my expectations. If you're planning to catch a concert or event at LA Live, you couldn’t ask for a better place to stay. My room was spacious, spotless, and had that fresh “just-renovated” feel. The bathroom was clean, well-sized, and equally modern. Though it’s right across from LA Live, it didn’t feel like I was in the hustle of downtown LA—just close enough to enjoy the energy without the chaos. Its unbeatable location means you're surrounded by endless dining and entertainment options. "
"Most important aspects: Hotel room is clean and washroom is clean properly after each check-in. Others: public transportation is nearby and walkable. Dining options look good. Staff are professional and friendly. Will book here again. "
"Beautiful hotel. Conveniently located centrally for most of LA. Metro and buses near by.
Great hotel and facilities. Used pool and gym. Loved the cafe down in the lobby area. Staff always helpful. "
