This place is fabulous. The biggest breakfast in a hotel in the US I have ever had and it’s included in your stay. Excellent location but tucked away so it’s nice and quiet. Hot and cold water coolers on every floor. Staff is attentive and caring. Dog friendly plus the owner’s English bulldogs are often to be found behind the desk in the lobby for cuddles and snorts of love. I will absolutely be staying again!
My stay was fantastic. The only negative thing I experienced was that they removed the US flag from its place of honor at the peak of their hotel in order to fly a pride flag in its place. As a veteran whos friends gave their lives for the US and whos coffins were draped with that flag, this was intolerable. There were plenty other places they could and did fly the pride flag. It should never fly in lieu of the Stars and Stripes.
Their guest service is a 20/10. I called earlier in the week to ask about arriving early and parking. They were gracious and accommodating, saying we could check into our room if it was ready when we arrived. On arrival, the doorman (shamefully I didn’t get his name) was welcoming, friendly and efficient. We stayed with our preteen and little guy and it was wonderful. Area felt pretty safe. We had a bay view room and got to watch the lighthouse at Alcatraz at night. Real close to dining, Ghirardelli Square, Fisherman's Wharf and just a couple blocks from the Big Bus station. Breakfasts were good and definitely saved money not paying for that every day! They are strict about the breakfast cutoff.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean bed and pillows were comfortable. Great location within walking distance to fishermen warf and pier 69 and pier 33 for Alcatraz tour. Definitely would recommend this hotel
