I was absolutely amazed when I arrived. I came in super late like after midnight to avoid traveling in a bad storm. I thought I could grab my stuff and get to the lobby but it started raining when I was walking through the parking lot. A lady on the night staff was running toward me with an umbrella! And she was apologetic she didn't make it to me on time -- I don't think I've ever seen care like that for a late night arrival. Super thankful and impressed.

We also explained that we would have our daughter and her 2 kids with us for a few of the nights, so that we could all spend time together. Exceeded expectations- which were high! This beautifully renovated historic library is perfectly presented in every way. We stayed in the director's room which was tucked away on the lower level. It was so cozy- just how you may imagine sleeping overnight in a library should feel! Everything is very thoughtfully and intentionally finished. We would have been happy spending the entire stay in the room, but did also venture up to the rooftop for evening cocktails by the fire and morning coffee...
