We had dinner at Piney Creek Chop House then breakfast at Maxine's Café and Bakery which were both really good. We stumbled upon C&S Cigar Lounge which is a gem. It was windy and cold and no walking shoes so we will be back to visit to tour the town.

The downtown area is adorable and has delicious food and quirky little sho[s; it's a drive from the hotel, but not a long one

Bastrop was always a place my family visited in my youth along with Lagrange, Giddings, Dime Box, etc....it's where most of my family is from. I also conducted my Annual Training while in the JMFT at Camp Swift: it's just beautiful country.

Small quaint town. Traffic right outside the hotel was terrible, but it was close to where I needed to be. Glad I chose to stay in Bastrop rather than travel back and forth from Austin.
"Hotel was clean and quiet and in walking distance to the moody center. Definitely recommend if you are going to stay overnight for an event or concert"
"The room was clean, staff friendly the parking is a little tight as not many spaces. Breakfast is $14.95 which I did not try. Typical sausage bacon , eggs , potatoes, French toast buffet style."
