We had come to Houston to attend the Moore's school of music ( Uof H) operas put on by the students every January. The students are very professional and I have seen more variety and better performances than when I have attended professional operas.

I used to live in this area, so it's a walk down memory lane. Houston is always alive and bustling with things to do ranging from casual coffee house nights to fun nights out drinking with friends. The Blossom is located in an great part of Houston.

Beautiful skyline. Some construction along sidewalks when walking not finished March 2024. Plenty of restaurants to walk to. Traffic in Houston area a little heavier than what I enjoyed but the traffic flow was adequate. GPS to hotel was accurate.

I really like that I was able to find vegan friendly food during my stay because typically when you think of Texas food vegan doesn't come to mind. I also was able to find enjoyable entertainment during my down time after I completed my work.

We were in Houston for the Quilt Show. We rented a car and I have to say that the highways were really well labeled and it was quite easy to get around. Houston is a really lovely city and appeared really clean and friendly.

We visited the interactive world aquarium/petting zoo for the kids and it was most certainly worth every penny. The place looks small but it's bigger than expected and had so many great animals to interact with.

We lived here for decades and loved the city's energy. If something's going to happen in Texas, it happens in Houston. The traffic is unbelievably bad. But for a city of 8-million it's an exciting city to visit.
"After a terrible experience with my booking at the Hyatt, we decided to head straight to The Whitehall—and I’m so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and understanding. They truly turned our stressful situation into a great stay. The service was top-tier, and everyone went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. I can’t thank them enough. This hotel knows how to treat their guests right!"
"There isn’t much around to do in the area, you definitely require a car to drive into town. It’s also very empty? Barely saw people in the day time.
Besides that, I wasn’t ecstatic about the serve homeless population in this area only reason it caught my attention was because it was visible on every single block maybe 4 miles in each direction. Didn’t feel super safe or willing to walk in town, also please note we are from out of state so this was super different for us to see.
Next time would preferably book a hotel in a more populated area. We really loved rice village area. "
"Staff was friendly, we ordered room service which arrived within 15 min or ordering.
The room was spacious.
The pool is fairly small, We had a little one who wanted to swim, however we were very lucky enough there weren’t a lot of people when we went.
The only compliant we did have, since you are located off a busy street we heard the cars/motorcycles very clearly and echoed off the buildings near by.. But what do you expect when you are off a busy road, overall we’d come back. "
