We opted for three nights here after 2 nights at a 5-star in old town Yogyakarta and were delighted the contrast. This was quiet and more personable. The "in-village" experience was pleasant, never obtrusive. Security and comfort were good. We were always greeted warmly by the staff, who aimed to please and provided great communication. The room was impeccably clean and the breakfasts were excellent - with a wonderful variety of food. We appreciated the location, which was walkable to Malioboro St. We didn't use the spa, but the pool with the city view was a welcome relief from the heat.
The design is fantastic, the bed comfy and the sťaff diligent, courteous and quick on their feet. Bed was comfy and sheets were nice quality. The food was also delicious. Easy to get a cab to go anywhere and it is near really nice, artsy cafes and galleries.
We visited Tentrem again for our family vacation and it didn't disappoint. Breakfast is still the best in Jogja, vast choices, comfortable, great internet, very family friendly. Would definitely stay here again.
The hotel was in a place that was very convenient to me and it was a very nice place on itself, the staff was very good and nice. The room was spacious and contained all I needed. Only maintainance lacked a bit and the waterpressure was low. People who worked in the hotel did feel like family after some time and were open to suggestions.
