"We really enjoyed our stay at The Stroud Hotel. The staff were welcoming on our arrival and we enjoyed an excellent meal and well prepared cocktails at lunchtime (I can highly recommend the risotto.) There was everything we needed except milk for the room but we were given fresh milk on request which, whilst lovely, wasn’t necessary as small cartons of UHT would have been fine for our short stay. dog friendly (ours was a bit barky - apologies to other guests!). Room was comfortable and very clean. Dinner was good - breakfast excellent. Breakfast hostess was absolutely lovely friendly but not intrusive - a real asset to the place. Didn't much care for the bar manager but believe he was agency so will probably not be there long. Lovely area to visit and would definitely recommend this place for staying or just dining. "
