The Castle at Edgehill is well kept, clean, comfortable and in a great location for exploring Banbury, Stratford and Warwick. We stayed in the Astley room and were extremely pleased with the comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and hot shower. The food in the restaurant was excellent, and we enjoyed being able to sit in the pub a couple of evenings, or in the garden, and enjoy the amazing views out over Edgehill and the freshly cut corn fields.Staff were friendly and helpful. We had a beautiful stay at this amazing hotel. The staff was incredibly helpful with sightseeing suggestions. The building and grounds were impecable and the food at their restaurant was delicious. The English breakfast was a 10.
The rooms are fairly small, but this is to be expected in such an old building. Spotlessly clean, good supplies of tea, coffee and hot chocolate and biscuits provided too. High quality linens.
The pub itself serves good quality beer (Wadworth's and associates), and the home cooked food was also great and healthy(ish).

The staff was so friendly. We had dinner there and breakfast. The food was very good. The room could use new carpets, but otherwise the it was comfortable.
From arrival everything was excellent. The manicured gardens, the personal reception by the General Manager, the common areas, our room ... Then came dinner ... and breakfast ... and tea ... everything superb.

After a 10 hour flight from SFO and a nightmare experience at Heathrow Airport (5 hours on the tarmac, followed by 3 hours at customs/baggage hall - only to be told at 10pm to leave without our luggage) we arrived at Wroxton House Hotel and were warmly welcomed by Tina at 11:30pm. She kindly opened the bar and offered to make us fresh sandwiches since we last ate at breakfast.
