"We liked the room, the bed was comfortable, the pillows were too thin. Even though the room is non-smoking, there are large coffee cans outside each room for cigarettes. The parking lot was full of pickup trucks and the men in them talked outside non stop until about 1.00am. Is there no deadline for quiet? In the morning, the office was (still) locked at 7.30. Breakfast was supposed to be available but the door was locked. We also wanted to know what to do with the room key but there was no one to ask."

"Every aspect of this property is exceptional. The staff are passionate, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to making sure guests are well taken care of. The rooms have recently been renovated, and it shows. They offer all the modern comforts you would expect from a new hotel, while still preserving the classic character and historic charm of the property. My only slight criticism would be the dining room, The Rosseau. While the Pub food was excellent and good value, we found The Rosseau a bit pricey for what we received. Also, I’m a believer when serving iconic dishes — such as steak tartare — prepare them in the way guests would traditionally expect. Overall, though, this is a wonderful property with outstanding service and a beautifully maintained sense of history. We would not hesitate to rebook and yes even eat at The Rosseau. Also try the burgers in the pub! Outstanding!"

"We like to stay at this location as it is very close to the highway and it comes with a complementary breakfast. They also allow dogs for a minimal cost. We always find the staff are excellent and very helpful and friendly. The room is comfortable the hotel is clean and reasonably up-to-date. We have never had any issues with noise or parking. It has always been a great place to stay for us."

"We love coming here. It is absolutely one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever visited. We were a little disappointed that the kayaks weren’t out yet, but that just gives us another reason to come back. We’re hoping to return in the fall when the leaves are changing, as we can only imagine how stunning it will be. The scenery is incredible, the property is peaceful, and every visit leaves us wanting to come back again. Highly recommend! 🍁🍂🚣‍♀️❤️"

"You can tell that this place was once loved and well taken care of. It is in desperate need of maintenance and updates. The public areas were dirty and in disrepair in spots. The rooms we stayed in needed paint and the plumbing was backed up. The beds were old and sagged in the middle. The fitness room had several machines that were out of order and they were all very old (like from the 80s). The staff was polite but none of them seemed to want to be there. The food was mediocre. The view was absolutely beautiful. With a little love and money, it could be a great destination."
