Excellent location for walkable dining, shopping, and ancient ruins. Book a room in the “hotel” with a balcony not the “residences” if you want a peekaboo view of the Acropolis. Bathroom very modern and comfortable but be aware that only a glass door with gauzy curtains separates you from anyone you share the room with. Also the entrance is on Karoni Street, around the corner from 39 Aiolou Street which some booking sites list as the address.
We loved Hellenic Vibes. It is right near Monastiraki Square and Ermou street, with the plaka just a short walk away. The hotel is clean and rooms are very visually appealing. The breakfast included in the room price is substantial, you can order eggs on a menu, just ask for it. I recommend staying here - you can’t beat the quality and the location!
except for the garbage dumpsters at the front of the hotel. It was a wonderful place to explore Athens. Cobblestone streets, outdoor restaurants and shopping with in steps.

Great hotel in a very good area! The rooms are beautiful, the restaurant is delicious and it has the best view of the Acropolis! Definitely stay here!!
Convenience is key! I have a cruise at Piraeus. Booked this for two reasons - straight shot taking the M3 from Athens airport on the Metro train, and walking distance (5 minutes) from the Metro.
Small room, but clean and only needed to rest before the cruise the next day.
We came to Athens for a 5 day visit of the city (not of the islands). Found the hotel to be very nice but for a visit of Athens it is a bit far. The metro is a 10 minute walk and then a 20 minute ride to the center of Athens (Monastiraki Metro). This being said, the value is super as the prices are very good and if you dont mind the distance, you will love this hotel. We plan to visit again but this time go to the islands. Then this hotel will definitely be our option.
Easy walk to the Acropolis. Nice staff who really take care of you beyond what's within the hotel. ("Tell the taxi-driver to talk to me if he said the fare is more than 6 euros." "What time are you leaving for the airport today? There is a transport strike at 6 pm."). Room is neat and clean, kinda small but can sleep three persons. It was a one night stay for us at the hotel and it was wonderful. The location is very central to all important locations in the city and also the airport bus stop at Syntagma. The breakfast was also really good and tasty. The room and bathroom was little small but that is expected in a hotel so central in an old city like Athens.
The room was clean, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful two-day stay before our cruise. After spending each day sightseeing and taking tours, it was lovely to return to such a warm and welcoming hotel.
The Athellon Suites is 2 buildings down and across the street from the main hotel itself. There is no real place to stop on the street which makes it a little confusing but traffic can get around you. The bellman was great and friendly and helpful and he did valet park our car for 10 Euros a night. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. This place is phenomenal. Brilliant service. They celebrated my mother’s birthday so nicely! They made an eggless, organic dessert for her and gave her a nice hairdo!
