Hotels in Baru

The place was clean but there was no windows in the room. There was security cameras everywhere which it was really good.

The hotel was adequate for my needs. But do take special note when checking in. You need to do a cash deposit of MYR 50. The checkin kiosk only takes 10, 20 or 50 note denominations. I didnt have, so I exchanged some notes with the reception staff. Other than that hiccup, everything else was fine.

The Square Hotel is a newish hotel located in a several square block area of small businesses, restaurants and shops. There is a medium sized shopping mall directly across the street. The hotel itself is very compact with small rooms. Although the beds and beddings are nice and all amenities are supplied (wifi, hot water, AC, bottled water), the rooms are tiny with a very small elevator. The hotel is perfect and very nice and comfortable where the reception is quick with the check-in and the price is perfect for us going for work but the bed is a bit too soft and the headboard is loosely mounted that when you turn it squid that needs to look into the matter.

It was a great jump off place for family, shopping near by.
