10/10 Excellent

"Room was simple but good. Mini fridge was nice to have but it was not very cold. Same for the A/C. The fan cranked up, but it was not all that cold no matter what i set the thermostat at. But at least for the time i was there (mid-May) nights cooled down enough to just open windows to.cool it down to sleep. Breaksfast had a very good spread. The staff was very helpful and I would retuen here. Location was good. Walkable to the downtown area and because it is up on a hill, there is a pretty good parking area out back."

Porto Lotti Suite Hotel

"The Porto Lotti Suite Hotel has a wonderful marina setting. It's adjacent to the manufacturing facility of super yacht builder, RIVA. There's a wonderful view from the hotel's western edge including a view towards La Spezia. It's a bit of a drive from the city centre so be aware but we found parking in the center quite easy in the several lots. The road to the hotel is a bit tricky so pay attention and once in the gate truly follow the painted line to find your way. The room was nice but 'suite hotel' use is a bit loosely in my opinion. At best our higher priced room was just that a room. Not a suite. Our small balcony was nice to step out on to then I realized we were over the kitchen entry/receiving area with a less than pleasant view. The lighting was quite odd too in that it was either low or as bright as the sun. The bed was quite comfortable and the closet great albeit a proper luggage rack would have been appreciated. The room was clean and otherwise I'd say nice and modern. The baby in the adjacent room was a little issue as the walls are thin and for a while I was concerned about the crying. We had room service one night and frankly we'd regretted it pretty quickly. This kind of small property even though charging luxury prices doesn't have the staff depth to service the rooms properly in my opinion. My wife ordered tea---the water pot was empty! No salt, no pepper. The grilled vegatables had no seasoning. Breakfast"

"The hotel is at the hill of Talkero with beautiful view. They have the bus with several stop to Lerici which is quiet and scenic. We had the seafood spaghetti two times at the Restaurant Defanio and he restaurant nearby Ristorante Il Gambero Nero. They are phenomenal. The hotel also has great breakfast. The welcome drink is a plus. The balcony room with the sea breeze also veryy nice. We enjoyed our stay."

"Beautiful rooms. We and our friends had the "Fantastia Mare" with a nice balcony and a great view high above the gulf. The property is lovely, ample, tasty and varied breakfast items were included and great dinner menu. But the best was the charming, gracious staff. We were made to feel so welcome! Expensive, but worth it!"

"The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I thought the location was really great, as it was an easy 5 min walk into old town. I loved that the hotel has several private terraces and beachfront. A few things travelers should be aware of... Check-in: The parking is on the left and the hotel reception is down the hill 100m on the right. There really isn't anywhere to park your car, as you need the key code to open the gates to the parking area. I pulled in on the left, infront of the garages that say no parking and show a towing sign, turned on my flashers and headed down to reception. Checking in was quick and easy so I was back up at my car in no time, this time with the key code. The hotel property and the town is very vertical so not ideal for someone with mobility issues. There is a snack bar with food and drinks midway between the sun terraces and beach. I planned my Saturday afternoon to relax, get some some, read and grab a snack & drink at the bar. Unfortunately it was closed and there are signs everywhere that say eating and drinking on the sun terraces is not allowed. I wish I had known it was going to be closed so I could have planned my lunch better. What's really great about the hotel is that there are also apartments available up by the parking area. These would be ideal for a group of friends or a family."
