Bali with its congestion and litter isn't really all a paradise. The moment you walk into the Trans hotel that changes. This hotel really seems to "get" the customer service/satisfaction piece. This hotel is gorgeous! There's pop art and beautiful pieces of art all around the hotel. The rooms are spacious, the bathroom area is very clean and the style is amazing. I loved this hotel so much. The area is situated in the busy part of Seminyak. You can catch a cab right in front at any time and scooter rentals are open late. Mamaka turned out to be an excellent place to stay for us. We needed something close to the airport for a few nights. The rooms were Clean and the staff were attentive . The breakfasts were wonderful as was the pool. We had trouble with our for not locking twice and the staff took care of it quickly. The negative aspects were the slow internet in our room and the loud music at night. We had super long flights and a 15 hour time difference so we went to sleep early.

If you're going to stay in this area of Bali, this is the place to stay. To be honest, I don't know if it is truly a "5 star" resort as it doesn't come close to the Ritz Carlton-level, but it is a really nice place. The resort is family friendly with all kinds of activities for the kids. Plus, centrally located to good bars / restaurants I think my only real issue was the size / quality of the room for the price point. I've stayed in way larger / nicer rooms for $200 a night. At least...

I stayed here very comfortably for two nights. It is a bit further from the main touristy part of Sanur, but a 5 minute walk from the closest beach (with a walkway that connects to other beaches) and a quick Grab ride to the busier parts if that’s your scene. Room was clean, staff was accommodating, and the pool area was unique with a volleyball net and basketball hoop - nice touches. Would stay here again!

Wonderful staff, comfortable, clean rooms and lovely decor. Very quiet inside the rooms with excellent wifi. Gym is great with treadmill, weight bench, a couple weight machines and dumbbells. Water and towels provided in the gym. Towels provided for pool use. Did not participate in the buffet breakfast but the one meal I ate in the restaurant was very good. There's a pretty big mall within close proximity as well. Absolutely would return.
