Resort La Ginabelle blew me away in a variety of ways! The staff was incredibly present, attentive, and kind. Our surprise upgrade on arrival to a suite with a view of the Matterhorn was spectacular. The breakfast buffet rivals that of a number of globally renowned five star hotels. And, of course, the spa (after a day of hiking) is the cherry on top. Beautiful all around! The room faced the Matterhorn as promised. Felt safe and at home the finishing, mostly hand crafted were amazing. Only advice I’d give is to take a taxi from the train station. It’s not a 15 minute walk as google will tell you. It’s a strenuous uphill hike. If you have luggage it’s very hard if you’re not used to higher altitudes. But it did not detract from the experience!

We were stuck here during the snow storm that hit Zermatt and caused the trains to be closed for two days. The staff did the best they could to provide entertainment, warm food and a place to say while we waited out the train. The hotel has great amenities, pool and spa services. Also only a very short walk to downtown shops and restaurants and the ski shops and lifts to the mountains! We will be back!
