"A nice roomy property with easy access to transit and popular areas around the city. Much more residential than a lot of places in Tokyo and great to return to a quiet area after a long day out in the city. "
"Room and bathroom was good size, few minutes walk from Uguisudani station, and very easy automated check in and out. Coin laundry available was very convenient. "

"Amazing stay as a solo traveller! There was a 7-eleven a one minute walk from the hostel and went there every single night! The train station was also a less than five minute walk away and very accessible! The Ōtori shrine was also right down the street as well, which made for a perfect late day walk! Highly recommend and the staff were so friendly!!"
"Great stay, close to the train station and easy to get a taxi. Would recommend anytime I stay in Tokyo. The hot baths with the light rain coming down was an amazing experience!"
"Hotel was beautiful, restaurants were clutch for days you didn’t want to go too far. Most staff very friendly and spoke some English which helped. Directly connected to cool area and theme park as well as mall and close to important rail systems. Found several things (old contact lense, random hairs, etc.) in room but it was still comfortable and everything needed was provided."
"Staff was very helpful. They helped us as we navigated through Japan in rainy conditions, provided excellent recommendations on indoor activities during gloomy days. 10/10 service and the room was extraordinary!"
"We enjoyed our stay at this property. A short walk to the Waseda subway stop, or the trolley, some decent restaurants near by. Appreciated the free shuttle service they provide when we left with our luggage travelling to Kyoto."

If museums are on your list, you might want to check out the upcoming exhibitions at Calligraphy Museum in Taito. Our travelers also like the art galleries and monuments in the area. If you want to see more of the museums in Tokyo, you can easily walk to Tokyo National Museum or Asakura Choso Museum.
If you're planning a bit of sightseeing head to Shikian— just one of the monuments in Taito. Why not live the cultural experience and visit the museums and art galleries in the area— your sightseeing tour starts here. Tokyo has many other landmarks you might want to see such as Sensoji Temple and Tokyo Imperial Palace.
Truly loved this place in Tokyo. It's VERY close to the train station that has the JR Yamanote Line, where you can go all over Tokyo fairly quickly.
The place felt very new and CLEAN! They have you take your shoes off right as you walk in and you put your shoes in a shoe locker, where you will be given slippers/slides which makes the floors feel very clean.
Complimentary coffee and bread each morning were really good and the rooms were very comfortable. They have a book that is a great guide...
Quiet but Convenient location near Ueno Park, close to the Ugusuidani train station. The hotel was comfortable and clean, and the staff was nice. The breakfast in the little cafe downstairs was delicious - we didn’t plan to eat there but tried it when we saw it, and glad we did!
I little hard to find at first, but everything else about it was great! Quiet area, lots of vending machines, easy walk to the train station, etc. The check in was one of the easiest I’ve had, and super quick to do, and they have lots of little free items as well. Really enjoyed my stay here!
Our stay at Hotel Niwa made our Japan trip exceptional! As American travelers in our early 30s, we found this place to be a gem in Tokyo.
The hotel's ambiance was simply beautiful, and the rooms were surprisingly spacious for a city known for compact spaces. Its prime location, just a 5-minute walk from a JR line, made navigating Tokyo incredibly convenient. Plus, being within walking distance of fantastic restaurants and yes, even the indispensable 7-11s, added immense value to our stay.

Excellent location with so much to do within walking distance. Multiple subway line with a 1-2 minute walk.
Hotel and staff were wonderful, so pleasant and helpful. Help with Luggage storage and shipping was a great bonus for our group.
I loved this little gem of a hotel. The staff is lovely and the hotel is affordable and really clean. The walls are also super thick so you don’t hear the baseball games that might happen across the street. I also loved the location. The street is quiet but metro close and so many places walkable. I’ll certainly stay here again,
Room was small but clean and well appointed. Staff was friendly and efficient. Hotel was slightly out of the hustle and bustle which provided a needed respite from the craziness of Shinjuku - though it was an easy walk to get to nightlife options. Definitely recommend the hotel - it was relatively inexpensive as well.
