We had SUCH A GREAT TIME at this hotel. 10/10 times, we would go back to Hanoi just to stay at this hotel. From the relentlessly phenomenal service, communication, and hospitality to the great food options inside and outside the hotel. Everything was top notch and each person who worked at the hotel ALWAYS had a smile on their face and happy to help. This is the most genuine hotel we have ever stayed at to date and loved our experience!
Meritel Hanoi is a beautiful hotel, with top notch service. However, the air conditioning kept going out in our room though the staff was quick to get it up and running again every time it went out. We also experienced ants in our sink, but again the staff was very prompt in getting it fixed. The Meritel advertises that it has soundproofed rooms, but this is not the case. I stayed here for three nights, and everything was excellent from start to finish. The location is perfect—within walking distance of all the must-see attractions. Breakfast was included with the room, and it was always fresh and delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming.

This is the best hotel in Hanoi. Location is excellent. Our room was so quiet we did not hear any of the street noise. Everything was immaculately clean. The staff were so lovely, especially Daria at the front desk - so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was 10/10, so many options at the buffet plus an additional a la cart menu that was all included - eggs made to order, vegetarian bun cha, many Vietnamese options as well as western. Highly recommend!
I cannot express how much Grace at reception and Anna helped me and my daughter with this trip. This was my daughter’s first trip internationally and my first time to Vietnam. This hotel was a highlight of our trip. The room was spacious, with a nice shower and enough places to put down our things. It is right in the heart of the old quarter so you can walk anywhere. My wife and I were overwhelmed by many aspects of our stay - the warm and helpful staff, the condition of our junior suite, the food at the restaurant (breakfast buffet and prix fix lunch) and the overall ambiance. Stayed at this location to be close to the lake but still be in Old Quarter. This location is excellent, close to everything but not the crazy Beer Street vibe. Perfect location for someone who wants to be close to all the action but not in the middle of all the crazies, lol. They also have a massage place and it was heavenly!!
